Eh, didn't really like how this was turning out, but I kept at it anyway since there were a few parts I still liked. I did want to show the decaying state Vash goes through in Trigun Maximum (didn't do his hair since I wasn't sure people would recognize him that way AND minus his red coat. )
It's getting very depressing going to anime cons, since there's hardly any sign of Trigun these days (except for the few awesome Vash cosplayers that are doing it EXTREMELY WELL AND KNOW IT) - which is outright shocking for me; some people I came across had never even heard of Trigun. Hopefully when the Trigun (animated) movie comes out it'll lead to a revival, as well as the final English manga translation. Unlike other manga I read, I haven't hopped onto fansites and read it, I just can't bring myself to doing that.
It depresses me so much that the anime that got me into anime is hardly ever paid attention to by new fans anymore. ...Although I guess most people who got into anime in the generations before us could probably say the same thing.
Yay, dramatic Vash :3

New fans are all into what's new and popular - Naruto and Bleach are major anime starters for people, just as Trigun and Cowboy Bebop were for me. The new fans kinda seem oblivious to the past decade of anime, almost like it never existed.
I really like Trigun Maximum - you get to really see how deep and psychologically disturbed Gunsmoke is. The Gung-Ho Guns in the anime are tame compared to what's in the manga - you're actually frightened by how insane and scary they are.
Isn't the movie coming out animated? I thought I saw a YKO page with rough versions of the anime cells on it. Although I suppose it could've been a storyboard... didn't really look it though.
Here's something comforting for you I went to a con a few months ago as Manga Knives. there was a Vash there and the year before there had been a Milly. But best of all, when i performed (i did a dance) I heard someone yell "I LOVE YOU KNIVES!" in the crowd. I was shocked and quite pleased. Trigun's not dead yet! And won't be for a long time if I have anything to say about it XD
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Trigun was the first anime series I got into. Well, maybe that's it. It's old? Still, people continue to watch older anime that isn't nearly as good.
How is Trigun Maximum? I confess, I have yet to get into the maximum, but I probably will for preparation for the movie.
BTW, they're making live-action trigun.
