Although I promised a synopsis of my Fanime trip, I just can't do it.
The little cat in my life went to sleep yesterday, a few hours after I got home from the con.
She held on and waited for me to get home, just so I could say good-bye to her.
She was so happy to see me when I walked in and started petting her. She always loved seeing me walk into the kitchen, or walk outside to give her a massaging pet for ten minutes or more minutes.
Although we didn't have her for her entire 21 or 22 years, those three precious years I had with her are three I won't forget.
She was such a prim, proper little lady (literally little - she barely weighed 5lbs).
She always held herself high - she'd sit up like the Egyptian cat statues, or down low like sphinxes.
We kept her outside due to allergies, but spoiled her with letting her roam around the kitchen area.
She'd always be there in the morning on the doormat, to say hello and have her fed.
Even if you were a little on the grumpy side, she always went out of the way to say hello.
I couldn't handle eating breakfast today, knowing that she wouldn't show up to talk to me. My mom couldn't even eat breakfast herself.
My mom and I broke down after eating dinner tonight.
She was always there...waiting for food and pets.
She randomly showed up one day when we were remodeling the kitchen and fences, and she just loved our side yard, and decided to stay. She never left the sideyard by her own devices - she had gimpy hindlegs and preferred to find sunny spots in the yard.
She was actually one of the neighbor's cats, but outright refused to go back to his house.
The one time we took her back there because of her then constant meowing fits, she climbed over two six-foot high fences just to get back to us.
She loved us that much.
Her original name was Friendly, but we renamed her Tina.
And she was my cat.

Desperté con la mano de un payaso en mis pantalones. Eso es lo que hice hoy.
Still, over 20 is very ripe age for a cat and from what you've said, she at least had a great last few years.
